Morocco Camel Trekking

Ride gentle dromedaries across ancient trade routes and golden Saharan dunes at sunrise or sunset.

Camel trekking is the most iconic way to experience Morocco's Sahara, tracing the same sand routes camel caravans have followed for centuries. Whether you choose a short sunset ride into Erg Chebbi or a multi-day expedition deep into Erg Chigaga's untouched dunes, our handpicked, gentle camels and experienced Berber guides make every trek safe, comfortable, and unforgettable. Trade the modern world for star-filled skies, campfire music, and the quiet rhythm of the desert.

03 EXPERT KNOWLEDGE

Frequently Asked Questions

Is camel trekking suitable for beginners and children?
Yes. Our camels are calm, well-trained animals led on foot by an experienced handler, so no riding experience is required. Children as young as 5 can usually join short treks with a parent nearby, though we recommend checking with us first for very young children or anyone with back or joint concerns.
How long does a typical camel trek last?
Most travelers join a 45-90 minute sunset or sunrise trek into the dunes as part of a longer desert tour. For those wanting more, we also arrange multi-day trekking expeditions of 2-4 days into the deeper, less-visited dunes of Erg Chigaga.
What should I bring on a camel trek?
Pack sunglasses, sunscreen, a light scarf for wind and sand protection, and a camera or phone for photos. Water is always provided, and for overnight treks we handle all camping equipment, bedding, and meals.
